UPCOMING EVENTS!

Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
September 10th, 11th & 12th
Wise Woman’s Weekend - A Weekend Retreat!
“The Realm of Water”

In this, the 6th annual celebration of Wise Woman Weekend we pay homage to the mainstay of Mother Earth and all life on our planet: Water.  Approximately 70% of the Earth’s surface is water-covered.  Water is in constant movement, in a water system known as the hydrologic cycle.  Water is the only element that exists as a solid, a liquid and a vapour and can do so at any point within the hydrologic cycle. Water is timeless. It is malleable. Water is also the building block of all creation here on Earth. It is essential to all life on this planet. Without it no life would exist on Earth. Yet humanity is painfully, careless and cavalier with this our most precious resource.  So let us take this opportunity, this Wise Woman Weekend,  to come together once more to celebrate, appreciate, play and create in this healing and life-giving gift: Water.

The Wise Woman Weekend is a yearly event focused on the “whole woman” ? body, mind and spirit. It’s all about Wise Women sharing with other Wise Women. In today’s busy world it’s important to make time to nourish and nurture ourselves. This retreat is just one way that Wise Woman Events asks women to make time for themselves, be present in the “now”, and explore the truths and possibilities of our uniqueness.

Ann-Marie Boudreau will be there with her Voice3 colleagues Lisa Hartt-Spillane and Hazel Walker to help participants explore their voice in an Intentional Sounding Circle and step into a Sound Journey experience.  Ann-Marie will also be including her tantra workshop “Journey of the Senses”!

Dear Friends,
The sun has reached it’s zenith with the passing of June 21st, the first day of summer, the longest day of the year.  I spent some time yesterday at Trinity Square Park where the Toronto Public Labyrinth network was hosting their solstice walk.  Just recently, Michael Franklin, Krystina Lewicki and myself finished recording four new and unique soundscapes that can be downloaded from the network site to use while walking the labyrinth.  You can have a listen at:  www.labyrinthnetwork.ca

With everyone’s busy summer schedules I wanted to make you aware of some meaningful and also sumptuous events taking place.  Whether you want to get involved with sending good energy to the G20 leaders here in Toronto this weekend at the Human Summit this Sunday, exploring your inner visionary at a two day retreat at Southampton Art School, enjoying the exotic dance of Inanna - the Sumerian goddess of love, Exploring your Singing Voice at the TAC summer series or getting ready to join the Wise Woman’s Weekend retreat this Sept – I’m sure there’s a little something for everyone’s palate in this summer newsletter!

The Human Summit

A Global Meditation to Reclaim the True Value of Human Existence
A mass meditation will be held in Toronto, Canada and in cities around the globe to coincide with the Toronto G20 Summit.  This event is being spear-headed by The Human Summit:  www.humansummit.com  The Human Summit was born out of the desire to have a civil engagement response to the G-20 Summit in Toronto that is both spiritually and politically conscious. As world leaders meet in Toronto to discuss the future of the global economy, there will be many voices clamoring for attention. Some of these voices will originate in chaos and fear and result in protests and civil disobedience. This meditation will offer a peaceful, non-violent alternative for conscious civil engagement to the residents and visitors to Toronto during the G-20 Summit.

Among those supporting and performing at the Summit are:  Voice3: Ann-Marie Boudreau, Lisa Hartt-Spillane, Hazel Walker as well as Michael Franklin, Kathleen Gillis, Greg Dean, Lucie Brisson, Dolphin, Emilio Zarris, Deidrey Francois, The World Drum!,  The Center for Spiritual Living, Absolute Groove, plus many more!

February Sound Events – The Deepening

Dear Friends,
As we continue to move through these times of turbulence which are taking place throughout many parts of our world it behooves us to continue doing our own work and deepen our own connection with our inner world.

In support of that connection I’m hosting another Sound Journey this month entitled “Deep Healing Trance”.  Reiki practitioners will be offering up their gifts to those who would like to receive energy work while relaxing and taking in the good sound vibrations.

NEW ON MYSPACE:  I’ve posted several New soothing improvisational pieces on my MySpace site.  Two of the pieces were recorded at the Twin Flames Sonic Reiki concert that I performed at last December.  The third piece is a debut piano improvisation I recorded many years ago but haven’t shared with the public until now.  To have a listen check my myspace site at:  www.myspace.com/annmarieboudreau  Relax and enjoy!

Deep Healing Trance:  A Sound Journey Experience

Hosted by Ann-Marie Boudreau
Join us for this intimate and personal ‘live surround-sound’ experience!  Created as an evening of relaxation, we’ll be encouraging you to move into a place of deep healing inside.  Several Reiki practitioners will be joining us to add their wonderful energy work to the experience.  If you would like to receive reiki during the sound journey experience let the attendees know when you arrive.
What is a Sound Journey?
For 90 minutes allow yourself to be enfolded by deep healing sounds from acoustic world instruments being played around and over you.  A sound journey can support you as you move into a deepening meditative state while reclining and relaxing.  At times melodic, sometimes dissonant, the soundscape is created utilizing an intimate knowledge of the chakra system, shamanic traditions and the vibrational nature of our bodies to enhance and deepen the meditation experience.
