Ann-Marie Boudreau
Ann-Marie Boudreau, RIHR, ARCT, is a registered Spiritual Psychotherapist with the Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners. She trained as a classical Concert Pianist at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and has over 30 years of teaching experience. She is also a Soundwork Practitioner, improvisational vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, playing and performing on a wide variety of world instruments. She has a private therapy practice in Toronto.
Ann-Marie encourages everyone she meets to live fully and move more deeply. “In our effort to communicate with the larger part of life we can lose touch with our natural ability to express ourselves”. In her work, Ann-Marie weaves magic for large or small audiences and combines all of her therapeutic, musical and artistic modalities to help clients address the needs of the soul, spirit and human experience.
She is on the faculties of Toronto Sound Source founded by Gary Diggins and the Transformational Arts College, both in Toronto, Ontario. Ann-Marie co-created and teaches the workshop series Journey of the Senses: an Introduction to the Path of Tantra. She also facilitates Vocal Play Workshops, Sound Journey and Meditation experiences. Along with Integrative Breathwork therapist, Michele Meehan, Ann-Marie is co-founder of the Sound, Breath & Energy Group whose purpose is to support individuals facing long-term and terminal illness.
Ann-Marie has had a consummate love of the arts since her youth and has spent many years exploring different forms of dance: classical ballet, jazz and free-form dance styles including Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms, Soul Motion with Vin Marti and ecstatic dance. Ann-Marie’s creative adventures extend to Mandala painting for personal meditation and hand built pottery, the latter of which she studied at the Ontario College of Art.
Ann-Marie is also a recording artist and has collaborated on a number of CD projects including “Sensual Meditation” with Jinus Rafezade, “Soon Come Shekinah” with Dennis Gaumond & The Badhra Collection, “Beyond Doubt” with Frank Casula – both Kirtan CD’s, and on the song “To be one” with Cheryl Hutton and Ed Majkut. Her first CD, “Dreams of Ancient Lands” was released in 2003, followed by her second release “New Horizon: A Sound Journey” in 2008.
