Dear Friends,
I think spring fever is finally hitting and with it I’ll be doing a bit of travelling…In April I’ll be visiting our neighbours to the south at the upcoming SAMA - Sound and Music Alliance Symposium.  I look forward to exploring how others are engaging the use of sound within their practises.  In May I’ll be heading up to our capital for the 2nd Annual Ottawa Sound Healing Conference to help facilitate an Intentional Sounding Circle and a Sound Journey experience with Voice3!
 
There are more special events that I’ll be involved with this April & May that you might want to mark on your calendar: Gary Diggin’s ‘Sonica Gaia’ an Earth Day Celebration on April 22nd, a juicy Beltane Soiree (includes Maypole dance!!) on May 1st and two Fundraisers: ‘Faith into Healing’ with Snow Lion on May 28th and a “Sing-A-Thon’ for BIST (Brain Injury Society of Toronto) on May 30th.

Sonica Gaia - An Earth Day Celebration!
Gary Diggins, TRIUND, and a continent of musical guests invite you to celebrate Gaia. Improvised music, poetry, audience interaction, ritual, group sounding, and singing.  Bring a hand drum and a yoga mat if possible.  Hosted at The University of Toronto’s Multi-Faith Centre, 569 Spadina Avenue (two blocks north of College St.) Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. start.  $20 at the door. Spring Tidings: A Sound Journey Experience!
Hosted by Ann-Marie Boudreau
Join us for this intimate and personal ‘live surround-sound’ experience! Created as an evening of relaxation, we will be joined by several wonderful Reiki Practitioners who will add their wonderful energy work to the experience. 
What is a Sound Journey? 
For 90 minutes allow yourself to be enfolded by deep healing sounds from acoustic world instruments being played around and over you.  A sound journey can support you as you move into a deepening meditative state while reclining and relaxing.  At times melodic, sometimes dissonant, the soundscape is created utilizing an intimate knowledge of the chakra system, shamanic traditions and the vibrational nature of our bodies to enhance and deepen the meditation experience.
Doors open at 7:15pm, the Journey starts at 7:30pm sharp! Arrive early to set up your space. Note: doors are locked at 7:45pm so as not to interrupt those journeying. If you would like to receive reiki during the sound journey experience let the attendant know when you arrive.  Where: Vivace Studios, 291A Jane Street, just south of Annette, Cost: $25.00 Please bring:  a mat, blanket, pillow and bottle of water for your comfort. Snow Lion Fundraiser: “Faith into Healing” 
This year’s fundraiser will focus on the topic of ‘Faith into Healing’.  This will be a  benefit evening of healing with music, stories, and movement in support of Gaden Tashi Choling Temple and Friends of the Heart. “Sing-A-Thon” BIST Fundraiser
